La Fondation du Qatar pour l’éducation, la science et le développement communautaire a été organise à Doha, du 16 au 18 novembre 2009, la première édition du sommet mondial de l’innovation appliquée à l’éducation.

WISE  (World Innovation Summit for Education).

L’Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) et quatre autres organisations (Association des universités du Commonwealth, Association internationale des présidents d’universités, Institute of International Education, RAND Corporation) ont été sollicitées par la Fondation en qualité de partenaires pour la conception des contenus et l’identification d’experts.

La manifestation se déroulera en 6 langues simultanées (anglais, arabe, chinois, espagnol, français, russe).

The premiere WISE Forum – to be held in Doha on November 16th, 17th and 18th, 2009 – intends to become a reference due to its innovative approach.

The Forum will draw leaders and decision-makers from governments, businesses, civil society, schools & universities, international institutions, NGOs, grassroots movements, top-tier media, multimedia, art and other creative communities around the globe.

By driving innovation through the exchange of experiences and “success stories” - as well as anticipating future trends, WISE will also contribute to identify new education techniques, players and technologies that will enhance human capacity.

Benefiting from Doha's geopolitical location, at the crossroad of civilisations, the WISE Forum will allow participants to share opinions and visions while addressing key issues.

For the first edition, the Forum will focus on a theme that is locally and internationally vital, “Global Education: Working Together for Sustainable Achievements”.

The main sub-themes of the forum will be addressed by internationally acclaimed, high-level keynote speakers and panellists.
